Asia Monitor Resource Centre (AMRC) is an independent non-government organization (NGO) which focuses on Asian labour concerns. Founded in 1976, AMRC has been leading the way in promoting workers’ rights and democratic labour movements in Asia and the Pacific for over 30 years now.

  • Asian Labour Update (ALU)
    Asian Labour Update (ALU) is a quarterly newsletter examines labour issues and related events in the Asia region from the workers’ perspective. . It provides information and analysis of issues and stories that are not covered thoroughly by the mainstream media. Sources for articles are workers' organisations: national, regional, and international labour groups and trade unions; academics; and development organisations.ALU provides information that can be used as education and training material, as well as information that is useful to unions in collective bargaining and industrial tactics. In addition to the thematic section, ALU publishes regular columns for OSH, local stories, and book reviews.
  • Publications for Purchase
    Books and reports are also regularly produced at AMRC, mostly in English. They reflect the work, studies and projects of AMRC and are published in stages or at the end of AMRC’s first-hand research.
  • Publication for Download
    AMRC has a few publications, reports and papers that it offers for download. They are a result of our ongoing work and we will keep updating the list. There are also publications which we offer for download by obtaining the consent of the author and whose work we would like to showcase on our website.
