For nearly 20 years, the vehicle of Asian labour news and analysis sharing among activists and Asian labour movement observers has been the quarterly journal, Asian Labour Update.

The contributors to ALU come from AMRC’s wide network in Asia of grassroots labour activists, academics, and labour professionals including lawyers. Their analysis and experiences are shared through the feature articles of ALU.

The ALU also shares news of workers´ struggles that do not easily emerge from other mainstream sources. It gives summaries of news in different countries through the Regional Roundup section. ALU also informs readers of useful resources – books and videos; and announces statements and urgent appeals from labour organizations.

ALU contains a regular Occupational Safety and Health Column which has been long-running, as well as a newly initiated Gender and Labour Column.
