Court orders oil rig strikers back to work
Around 100 workers, all members of the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union (EPMU), on five drilling rigs in Taranaki and Taupo were ordered back to work on 21 November.
Rig workers went on indefinite strike on 19 November accusing employers of failing to address key issues in the collective agreement after three months of negotiation.
They are demanding a five percent pay rise, improved redundancy facilities, and paid training (presently done outside working hours).
