On 6-7 January 2011, AMRC, Worker Empowerment and the Department of Applied Social Studies of City University of Hong Kong held an international workshop on the "Changing Labour Regulations in China-Practice and Challenges' aimed to review the effectiveness of these laws and regulations in protecting workers' rights, identity the possible obstacles to their effective implementations, and discuss what practical measures should be taken to further safeguard workers'rights.
