Labour activist knifed in Shenzhen, China

 
On 20 November, worker organiser and legal advisor Huang Qingnan was attacked in broad daylight after he left the Dagongzhe Migrant Worker Centre where he provides labour law education and free legal consultation.

Migrant activists in South Korea deported without due process

In Asian Labour Update Issue 64, AMRC called for protest letters regarding the arrest of three leaders of the Migrants’ Trade Union on 27 November 2007. Subsequently, on 13 December 2007, the three leaders were deported from South Korea and deprived of their rights to a trial.

Now we ask for continued solidarity to the trade union leaders, by emailing the following Urgent Appeal to the South Korean authorities
