Did you know that AMRC has a labour library?

Our collection has around 2000 English titles, 3000 Chinese titles and 70 actively received periodicals relating directly or indirectly to labour issues in Asia and the world.

The topics covered include: history, education and training materials on OSH, social movements, social classes, social policy and welfare, women and migration, human rights, labour law and social security law, globalization, CSR, international trade, politics and government, trade unions and more! The books have been published in Asia as well as in the West.

Anyone who is a friend or partner of AMRC who is in Hong Kong is welcome to browse and borrow from the AMRC library!

The loan period is fourteen (14) days (excluding public holidays) and the borrower is entitled to borrow up to a maximum of three (3) titles. Borrowers may renew loans by informing the Library & Information Officer, Ms Pauline Lee, via email at pauline@amrc.org.hk before the due date.

Plan for e-resources

In order to improve our library service, we plan to upload our full list of the titles available for borrowing in our library, in a section of our website. We will announce it in ALU when the online borrowing catalogue is ready!

- The correct title of the article on p. 10 should be ‘Corporate Social Responsibility: A Vehicle for International Solidarity?’ (It should have a ‘?’.)
- Dr Jeong-Ok Kong is a Representative of Korean Institute of Labour Safety and Health.
p. 10: The author’s name is missing from the article, and listed only on the Contents page; it should be ‘Hilde van Regenmortel’.
