Employer bit domestic worker’s breasts

Cases of physical abuse are causing quite a stir in Singapore, highlighted by the report of a woman accused of biting her maid’s breasts causing “severe bodily pain” for 20 days. The accused employer also faces charges of abusing her with knives, scissors, and a cane. A court also heard that the domestic worker had been attacked with boiling water, and other hot objects.
Jennicia Chow Yen Ping first appeared in court in October for causing grievous hurt to 19-year-old Kusmirah.
The offences occurred in October.
The city-state employs about 140,000 foreign domestics; about 80,000 are Filipinas, others are from Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Thailand.
